In 2020, during the first lockdown of the CV-19 pandemic, our family kept occupied at home by sowing and growing seeds. That summer we were able to make plant donations to community horticultural groups, neighbours and the children of keyworkers at Thorpe Hall School, Walthamstow.
In 2021, we grew another batch of plants that we sold to help fund raise for

Doronicum caucasicum
AKA Little Leo - a yellow daisy for borders. A cute cut plant.

Teasel
Wildlife love this plant - it will self seed so you'll end up with plenty more in the garden. Before turning into the familiar prickly seed head the flower is an amazing luminescent purple. It grows to at least 2 metres so keep it at the back of your planting - especially as the stem is prickly too.
NO LONGER AVAILABLE
Agretti (Saltwort)
This is edible and great to include in salad leaves. Reminds me of samphire without the salt. It will grow to about 20cm high and 30cm wide. Pick the shoots to eat raw and you can also blanche them.
NO LONGER AVAILABLE
Kale
Starts as a small seedling but will get big! A beautiful, dark blue/green, textured leaf so lovely to look at and good to eat too!
NO LONGER AVAILABLE
Tomato Lucky Dip
We have a selection of bush, cherry and cordon varieties. Take your pick!
